Text Track: Positioning, Converting to Video... nothing works

You can use the textBox tag in QuickTime to position text. I always have
trouble getting the textBox tag to work the way I want, but it might help
you position the text without using spaces. You still have the difference
between Windows and Mac to contend with.

(from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/tutorials/textdescriptors.html)
*********************
{textBox: top , left , bottom , right }

Used to set the dimensions and location of the textBox relative to the
other visible tracks. Example: {textBox:0, 0, 80, 320} will draw the text
in an 80-pixel-high by 320-pixel-wide box at the the top left of the movie
window.
*********************

Because this tag often frustrates me, I made a short example (excuse the
trite content) which you can see at:

http://www.whitanderson.com/tt/

The text track is reproduced below, but may have line breaks in the wrong
places:

{QTtext}{font:Geneva}{bold}{keyedText:on}{size:14}{textColor: 33333, 99,
11111}{backColor: 0, 0,
0}{justify:left}{timeScale:1000}{width:544}{height:408}{timeStamps:absolute}{lan
guage:0}{textEncoding:0}{doNotAutoScale:off}{clipToTextBox:on}{shrinkTextBox:on}
[00:00:00.000]
{textBox:100, 0, 200, 320}Hello World!
[00:00:02.000]
{textBox:200, 0, 300, 520}Same to you.
[00:00:04.000]
{textBox:0, 150, 300, 520}I've enjoyed your spring this year.
[00:00:06.000]
{textBox:200, 150, 300, 300}Yes, a little damp, but nice.
[00:00:08.000]
{textBox:300, 150, 400, 300}{justify:right}A sunny day redeems it all.
[00:00:10.000]

Notice that I added some tags to the opening tags of your video before the
text begins.
