Re: WMP 9s "rtsp"..

Joe!

No, thats not the point. The QTSDGgen tool creates SDP files, that are
usable only inside of darwin. Two lines missing. Well, thats ok, thats
what it is made for. And QT works nicenst with the complete SDP file, if
it is placed like http://bla.server/bla.sdp. But rtsp://bla/bla.sdp, that
is some kind of policy, excludes all browsers, that cannot display rtsp
links. IE can and some others... For example.
You can say, that this is well organised in the Apple system, with
plugins, embeded movies etc, but IMHO this excludes other vendors from the
mp4 market, if the market leader, sort of, in this sector, introduces
rules, that are very sophisticated and allow no alternativ.
There is some tendency, not as clear as in the MS case, MS/Envivio etc,
but it is there, without doubt. "Unfair" ? IMHO it is at least near the
border.

Well, lets be happy, that QT does display http://bla/bla.sdps at lall, no
matter if they are unicast or multicast, unlike Real.

"Standards"...
