Folks,
After installing iChat and the 3GPP plugin, I note that I now have TWO
H.263 codecs installed:
Apple VC H.263
Apple H.263
The UI of both is identical.
Anyone know the difference between them? Different profile (H.263+ or
the VC or something)? Performance v. quality tuned? The "VC" acronym isn't
obvious to me. "Video Conferencing?"
I'm doing some H.263 encoding today, so I'd like to know which is better
or worse for quality, and use that.
Also, if the VC H.263 version isn't compatible with the H.263 decoder,
I'd love to see it included in Component Download, along with AMR.
