Hi, how does one convert a QuickTime clip at 320x240 to MPEG2 at 320x240? I have been trying to do this without any success because the controls are missing in QuickTime Pro 6.3. However, if anyone has any ideas as to how to do this, please drop me a note and thanks in advance.

QuickTime 6 has no built in MPEG-2 encoder. You get one with DVD Studio Pro and/or with FCP 4. If you don't have any of those, you need an MPEG-2 encoder. Try cleaner 6 (although it's quite slow), or Squeeze 3.5 on Windows. I just tried a 720x480 to 320x240 on cleaner 6 and it gave me some bizzare green artifacts at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure if Squeeze will allow you to specify 320x240, though.

Why would you need 320x240 MPEG-2?
