What kinds of settings combinations you've used?

Ed wrote me:

the QT format - how can I have that and the quality of the original?"

Are we missing something?

I think I know what Ed's "problem" is. If I remember correctly, "QuickTime-Full Quality" in iMovie means a DV compressed video. If it looks bad on QT Player it might be because often times the player shows a low res version of the DV movie so it can keep up with the data rate. This does not mean the movie is bad. If you transcode it or dump it to tape, the full quality should be there. To check if that's the case, try enabling "High Quality" in the Movie Properties Window. Mind you that this will require way more CPU so your iMac 400 may chug at that point. Therefore QT showing a "bad" quality version by default.

Having said all this, I'm sure Ed's "problem" does not relate to Robert's.
