Re: Freezing at first frame



An alternate way to do it would be to make a standard reference movie for
your stream. Then, copy a frame from your source video (the first frame in
your case), and paste it to the very beginning of the reference movie. Then,
embed the reference movie, like normal, and turn autoplay off. Now, it'll
look like the first frame of the stream is frozen in place, and the user is
free to click play or drag the little nubbin in the timeline to start
somewhere down the line.

I've posted a quick and dirty example up at
<http://commons.ucalgary.ca/~king/frozen/>. It doesn't really work visually
for this video since there's a fade up at the beginning, but it shows the
idea.
