The high latency is probably a reflection of not having enough
keyframes. Also, are you using "Sorenson Video" or "Sorenson Video 3." The
latter is an all-new, much faster codec, and what you definitely should be
using.

That sounds like a much better way to go. Don't compress more
generations than you need to.
