the problem still exists in QT 6.2 on OS X 10.2.6 and QT 6.1 on
Win2K/XP, haven't checked the OS 9 version.
I filed a bug report (#3269438) so you guys won't forget about it ;-)
if you could, please try to put this issue back on the
to-be-solved-in-the-next-release-list, would be nice for us and our
mac-audience, and I guess it would be good for the QT platform....
tnx

And so now there we implemented a flash chat (version 5 swf) that uses
xml-sockets, and it isn't working (the xml-socket part, that is) if
played from within QT 6. We are just beginning to investigate the
problem, but perhaps someone can confirm flash xml-socket support in
QT
6 beforehand? Would be kind of stupid for us to try to fix the problem
if it isn't supported at all.
I believe there was a simple bug in the Flash media handler that
prevented this from working correctly. A fix was found, but I'm not
sure if it made it into any shipping version of QT. Apparently not. So
I guess the answer is this: we are aware of the problem and are working
on a solution. I don't believe there is any workaround you could use.
You might try the latest greatest version of QT to see if the problem
persists.
