Re: Current nag-screen situation in current Win-QT?

Hi Kjell -

I have written an application which embeds QT in a web page, then references the video source.

When you view the output, no nag screen is produced, this only happens when you run the quicktime player stand alone.

So my suggestion is to do just that, write a custom webpage (maybe some nice graphics and explanatory text too ;-) and see if you get nagged then. You can even add flash to the web page as well to really wow them, and add your installer code to check the version using javascript to make sure everything works just as well as it can.

Cheers, Neil Smith.

Can some of you please post a message descibing the nag-screen
situation in the current QT version for Windows, and any other comments
you might want to share on the topic?

Have communicated with Apple before on this topic but so far, a
solutions to this problem has been in the blue. It really kills me
every time we have to ditch QT because the nag-screen situation is too
annoying/confusing for our students and switch to a second rate
