Re: DV Capture Canon ZR100

Craig,

Are you capturing over an analog video digitizer, or via FireWire/DV? I guess I misunderstood and understood you were capturing via FireWire, in which case the original analog format would be irrelevant, it would all be cooked into DV over FireWire. If that's not the case I'll have to rethink your post.

Few questions -

What's the exact device path you're going through? Camera is connected to what?

On another note, I agree with your final statement though - a rant about UI is best left to another time.

I think everyone here is willing to help; perhaps your post wasn't clear enough, as several seem to have misunderstood you, or perhaps we're just dense or suffering from poor reading comprehension. But keep it cool, we're all in this together. If there's a legit bug in FCP and iMovie then we all would appreciate identifying it, and of course as a developer you know what you need to do to get it fixed (file a report that's clear, reproducible, and as isolated as possible). If you need help with that, once it's identified I'd even be willing to write it up for you.
