It might be easier to use the QuickTime Broadcaster application to capture the stream.
Available for free at

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/broadcaster/

-Launch the QT Broadcaster Application
-Select the Video Tab and disable the Video Stream
-Select the Audio Tab and make sure the Audio Stream is enabled
-Deselect the Play-through speaker check box (to avoid feedback in the case of capturing through the PowerBook's internal mic)
-Select the Compressor you want to use
-Select the Bit depth (N/A for AAC or AMR compression)
-Select the # of Channels (N/A for AMR compression)
-Make sure the the record to disk checkbox is checked
-Click Broadcast to start
-Click Stop to stop
-There will be a new movie titled "My Movie" in the ~/Movies/ folder

Or just press the record button on WireTap Pro ;)
