messed-up QT file

this is from another mailing list I subscribe to.  Any expert (or not)
suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have an interesting problem that requires some hacking. I have a 6  
hour Quicktime movie that I can not open. This is a bad thing. This  
is the rump session at the latest Crypto conference (where SHA-1 was  
taken out and an interesting covert channel attack on AES presented).

The symptom is that the file will not open and receives a length  
error. "the movie contains an incorrect duration (-2104)" The file  
was created by quicktime broadcast. the file is certainly big enough  
(1+GB), and the error occurs quickly before anything is displayed.

Is there anyone out there with Quicktime experience that can help be  
recover (at least some) of the movie? If anyone knows someone who  
knows someone who works in the quicktime group at apple that would be  
great too.
