I had the same problem with QT and reported the bug. They've
responded saying they can't repeat the problem.
I ended up using an app called Portfolius instead. I was introduced
to it here on the list. It also helped me because I wanted to use
several URL-based QT movies arranged as chapters. Works great =)

Hi all,
I haven't been on this list long enough to know if my question is
appropriate to the list or not. If it isn't, please ignore.
I am having difficulty creating chapters with Quicktime 7 Pro. I
have no problems creating text tracks and getting them to play
correctly as text tracks. But with chapters, I always get double
listings, and this throws off the synchronization with the video.
For example, and to explain what I mean by double listing, suppose
I have these chapters:
one
two
three
When I click on the pop-up chapters button (beneath the video), I get:
one
one
two
two
three
three
My problem seems to be with how I am attaching the text track to
the video track to create the chapter track. In the help file, the
key instruction is this:
17. Choose the main video or audio track from the Chapters pop-up
menu. (This is referring the the Chapters button in the movies
properties window).
However, when I click on the chapters pop-up, I find no video or
audio track listed. All I find is "text track."
I am certain that this is just some little thing that I am doing
wrong. Perhaps, I am simply misunderstanding instructions! Also, I
know I can use iMovieHD, for example, to accomplish the same thing
(and maybe more quickly). Still, it bugs me that I can't figure
this out.
Any hints, suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.
