I'd like to stream video over QuickTime that requires password
authentication. I have a developer working on a system that would
automatically deliver passwords to users who subscribe...but my
challenge is deriving a method where QuickTime would prompt users
for their password before playing a live stream. Does anyone have
any ideas on this?
Maybe you would find QuickTime media keys to suit your needs here? It
might take some custom plug-in code to do passwords the way you have in
mind, but maybe there's a better way with media keys.
