Hmm, I don't see any errors when I change your html to embed a movie trailer from apple.com, but the scripting API will return an error any time it gets an error from QuickTime, so you should be prepared to handle errors.Hi Eric, Thanks for getting back to me on this. I wanted to let you know that if I change the embedding to http:// so the file streams through that protocal it works. The only problem is I have some javascript that now throws an unhandled exception. This can be seen here in Firefox:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIQTScriptablePlugin.GetRate]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: http://www.kenvillines.com/quicktime/qtplayer.js :: isPlaying :: line 7" data: no]
Again if I use a progressive download media file all this works fine. The streaming file with http gives this exception. The Javascript controls work OK though. What do you think? Is there another bug here? It looks like it...
