I have seen some comparative reviews of different H.264s and there seemed to be some quality problems at the data rates used to showcase the codecs. Although I haven't seen any actual streaming or progressive downloads yet. You may be right - that at higher data rates, the quality may be very good in progressive downloads (likely) - and I love to see some H.264 streaming - to check it out.
