Hi,

there any way to add the Sorenson Windows Media codec for exporting to avi

Generally speaking, are you sure you want AVI and not WMV (Windows Media)? AVI is not recommended by Microsoft these days and has been completely replaced by WMV (also known as ASF). To export WMV from any Quicktime application, get the WMV Export Component from Flip4Mac or Popwire's very similar WMV-9 Export Component:

Also, generally speaking, AVI is not a codec - it's a file format, which can contain content encoded with many different codecs. The only real use AVI gets these days is in "DiVX", which is the most commonly used format for sharing movies on P2P networks, but not common for corporate or education uses. DiVX is essentially an AVI file containing MPEG-4 video and MP3 audio.

Hope this helps,

Roger
