and getting ici1.mpg with WMP 9. I darkly remember
having seen the same with same other embeded bla.mpg and
IE on Windows, "how is it possible without QT?", but I
made no further experiments.
But the question is getting more interesting with more
vendor and platform independent content like H264.mp4s.
Is there any general rule (other than that WMP doesnt display
bla.mp4s without a third vendor 3ivx or whatever plugin)?
What are the really existing alternatives to QT, that content
providers can expect on their targets machines, if there are
any?
Is it enough just to write non specific QT code?
What is a plugin, that content providers could offer
to Windows users as an alternativ to QT?
