Hi everyone, this is an interesting question I
received from Wichita State University. Can anyone
help here? Thanks, EZ
-----------------------------------------------
I was wondering if there was any way I could get a
hold of the QT 7
beta for Windows. We have a big interactive project
incorpartating
HD video on 50" touch screens. It's part of our new
Welcome Center.
We were planning on encoding our HD Clips into High
Quality MPEG-4
clips. All of our tests worked here in house, But the
Mpeg4 clips are
choking the PC's that the 50" plasma displays are
feeding. I think
the H.264 codec would give us a higher picture quality
at a more
manageable bitrate for the PC's running the
Interactive Application.
I know QT 7 hasn't been released for Windows yet, but
is there a Beta
out there. If so there any way we could get a hold of
it? Our Big
Grand Opening is Monday May 23rd and right now I'm not
sure how were
going to diplay these HD video clips.
The PCs running the clips are Dells with Pentium 4
540 / 3.2GHz, 512
RAM, and a 128 MB ATI Radeon X300 graphics card.
Are there any other Codec available that will handle
720x1280 HD
clips? Is DVCPRO HD available for PC?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lonny Quattlebaum
