Apple's support for H.264 will help create the market for H.264 products... QT is just one of them, and so far it looks pretty good to me but again, we have an open standard designed exactly to allow third parties to play.

We almost agreed ;) So far it looks like it's easy for Nero/Ateme H.264 to outperform WIMP9 in terms of quality. And if it's true that 50% of "multimedia" producers are on Macs and 50% are on PCs. Then the market for "content producers" could/should shake out at a competition between Nero/Ateme and QT7 when it comes to H.264/AVC. Nero/Ateme has been ported to Linux - so I suppose it's a hop step and a skip away from being Mac enabled. And the video is going to be compelling - if not for the content then just for the full screen visual quality. Being viewing some HD Real 10 - full screen the "picture" is visually a knock out.
