It's not clear what you're experiencing.  Try this:

Open the System Preferences and select the QuickTime pane.  Under the "Register" tab, ensue that there is a registration code entered and that below it reads "QuickTime 7 Pro".  If it's not, enter the registration code that must have came with FCP.

Then, quit the QuickTime Player and browser and launch them again to refresh them.  The QuickTime Pro capabilities should be enabled.  Once registered, the QuickTime Player, the plug in and Preview should now have the "pro" features enabled.

If you're watching an embedded movie in the browser and you don't see the arrow pointing down in the controller to save the movie, it may be that the author of the page set "kiosk mode" to prevent from saving.  Try another movie in another site.
