Hi Dr. Lowney, My first thought is that the people at Apple are assuming, that because you just installed the update, that you were interested in using the player to watch something. Therefore, they thought they'd be nice and open the player for you so you don't have to click it in the Dock. : ) I don't know. Just a thought. ; - ) Have a great day!
