I do have to correct you, as we also have one of those Canon Powershot A95. It can also record a movie in .avi format at 640x480. 30 sek-320x160 3 min and 160x120 3 min. The framerate is fixed to 15 fr/s and the sound is also fixed wawe mono. I belive this camera is discontinued by now. Angus Hello Frank, My son (student at art college) has a Canon A95 which takes cracking still pictures. It also takes video with an .avi extension; QT reports it as "Motion JPEG OpenDML" at 320 x 240 and plays it fine. The quality seems reasonable, my only comment being what video he has taken so far is at 15fps (but maybe there is an adjustment somewhere!). The audio seems remarkably good for what must be a tiny built-in microphone which is encoded as mono @ 11.024kHz. Hope this helps. Andrew |
