Don't forget that HipFilcs will allow you to do 4up visual
comparisons :)

Hi,
We are looking for a tool allowing us to objectively compare
various video codecs and settings in order to determine which one
will best fit our needs. I am mostly interested in comparing QT
codecs and I don't want to rely exclusively on subjective feedback.
Is there any Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio, Video Quality Metric or
any other method which would work on QuickTime video files (even if
we need to convert back the QT video to raw format in order to
analyze it).
Thank you in advance for your insights and suggestions.
Regards,
Guillaume
PS: For audio, we are using the QSSP audio visualization component
created by Totally Hip, it allows us to view, adjust and compare
real-time spectrogram/waveform and power spectrum on any audio
codec supported by
QuickTime._______________________________________________
