MakeRefMovie: Speed & Version parameters

In the case where only one streaming movie is being referenced in a ref movie, does the Speed parameter have any actual effect on how the movie is streamed? For example if the Speed is set lower than a (non VBR) movie's datarate; and does the setting affect how the packets are configured when sent?

I'd also like to learn more about the Choke settings, if anyone has a url or other input.

Finally, we created a (non-VBR) single video movie, using Sorenson 3 video codec, AAC audio -- and it did not play with the ref movie Version parameter unspecified, even though the client had the latest QuickTime; once set to QT 6 (this was an older version of MakeRefMovie), it played. I'd like to know more about what effects the Version parameter has, beyond that described at http:// www.apple.com/quicktime/tutorials/refmovies.html .

Thanks,

Bob
