Re: Quicktime Plug-in image before streaming content

Subject: Quicktime Plug-in image before streaming content

I have a streaming video file on one of my client's home page:
http://www.blackoutkids.com/
The client wants me to turn off Autoplay so that the streaming content
doesn't automatically play. But when I do that, I am left with the Quicktime
Plug-in default appearing in place of the video. Once you click on the
plug-in "play" control, it disappears and the video starts playing.

How can I set this page up so that the first frame of the video appears in
place of the plug-in image?

Don't have the time to write code, but what you need is a poster movie, a still frame from your reference movie.
When someone clicks on this, it will call up your reference movie, which calls up your streaming movie.
Do a google search on QuickTime Poster movies, you'll get stuff like

This will head you down the right road.
But now, you should use javascript to avoid the eolas problem in IE on the PC.

Sorry could not help more...
