Title: GMORE: etting the H & W of a QuickTime movie
via Javascrip
Extending my own question,
I see that there is a GetRectangle string _expression_ so the question
then becomes why AC_QuickTime.js doesn't make use of it to
programmatically set the Height and Width of the object/embed code to
the native size of the movie, at least as a default that can be
overridden.
Get and set the location and
dimensions of the movie within the embed area.
A short while back there was a pretty
vigorous discussion here on how to simplify the inclusion of QuickTime
movies in a web page context (as opposed to simply using an HREF to
open the movie in a new window). The AC_Quicktime.js and
Objecty.js strategies were prominent in that discussion.
However, both approaches require the
author to set the height and width.
In another discussion the
_expression_:
document.qtplayer.SetRectangle("0,0,640,480")
... so is there a
document.qtplayerGettRectangle such that one could discover the native
size of a movie is and script accordingly?
