User-agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) 3.2.1
Actually, all codecs play washed out in quicktime for me.
Here's how I "solved" the problem:
- go to Edit/Preferences/Quicktime preferences
- Advanced tab
- uncheck both:
- Enable DirectDraw acceleration
- Enable Direct3D video acceleration
Once I disabled acceleration, movies play with normal black level. Hope this
works for you. Performance didn't seem to suffer.
Maybe someone on the quicktime team could look into this problem? Seems like a
bug to me...
Thanks,
kamo
