Re: QT video is all washed out on Windows XP



Actually, all codecs play washed out in quicktime for me.

Here's how I "solved" the problem:

  - go to Edit/Preferences/Quicktime preferences
  - Advanced tab
  - uncheck both:
      - Enable DirectDraw acceleration
      - Enable Direct3D video acceleration

Once I disabled acceleration, movies play with normal black level. Hope this
works for you. Performance didn't seem to suffer.

Maybe someone on the quicktime team could look into this problem? Seems like a
bug to me...
