But wouldn't that be because you are now displaying an interlaced
signal (i) on an interlaced device? If outputting a progressive (p)
signal, you'd be showing the lines out of sync, and so they'd
become more apparent.
Not that I know, but would suspect this would be the case.

When outputting 720p, I expected the Apple TV to do a better job de-
interlacing the video before output. I find it interesting that the
Apple TV format that I exported appears to be interlaced (yuk).
Again, my observations are premature, as I haven't had time to dig
into this yet. I hope to take some time this weekend, generate Apple
TV movies from several sources, buy some TV content, try some Movie
trailers, etc. to see what's going wrong with my export.
