Thread-topic: Changing Track Ordinal Number in QuickTime
User-agent: Microsoft-Entourage/11.3.2.061213
Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know a way to change the order that tracks are listed in
QuickTime.
Note: this is different from Track ID number and Track Layer number.
This ordinal number is what javascript uses to do stuff with the track.
One would think that it would use the ID number or even better the Track
Name, but no, that would be too easy. (is there a way for javascript to use
the track name?)
Here is what the documentation says:
"Track properties belong to a specific track within a movie. To get or set a
track property, you must know the track¹s parent movie and the ordinal
number of the track within the movie. When you get a movie¹s properties in
QuickTime Player, the tracks are listed in numerical order: the first track
listed is track 1, the second is track 2, and so on."
Grrrrrrr...it's not easy to control this especially when dealing with a ton
of movies!
Thanks for any help
