So I can only broadcast live via RTSP out of my Snow Leopard QTSS.

Many Internet providers are either actively blocking RTSP or don't have those ports open.
Even though I'm tunneling through port 80 and get a majority of "watchers," I would like to be able to stream live to Apple devices.

Ironic that I can't stream live from an Apple server to Apple devices without expensive 3rd party software and broadcasters.  Thanks Apple.

I know about all this port woes and problems, i ve running a DSS on my debian lenny server for some time now and using port 80 made skype the most popular voip application so far and thats why apple turned to http streaming, but it can´t be rocket science to "upgrade " such  great tools like DSS and Quicktime broadcast to be able to use httpstreaming IMHO.

Beside this, i think its also not fair that folks like us, who spend thousends of dollars
for apple equiment in the past years will not be supported. I think steve would not like
the path apple is drifting......

beside of all this is there a  " Gui version" of streaming segmenter

or does a simple grafical live streaming tool like Quicktime
