Well, you have to make a trade off. Most likely you would end up with
something that may be a bit too light on the Mac and a bit too dark on
the PC. In general people don't have a reference point, as they've never
seen the original as you're seeing them, so for them it just look right.

No, I'm sorry. It's one of those things that it will depend on so many
factors. I understand that some cards do use hardware acceleration, but
then you get into the drivers, and the OS and if QT is set up properly....
From my experience, Sorenson may pixelate in certain cases. Not all
Sorenson movies will. I haven't done further tests to figure out what
triggers that pixelation.
