QTVR movies in PowerPoint for Windows

Dear list,

I doubt it is impossible to add QTVR to PowerPoint for Windows. I've seen
presentations given on Windows laptops with QuickTime movies inserted.

This should be an important issue (selling point) for all of us. QTVRs make
an excellent feature for PowerPoint presentations. I've done some research
but alas cannot test the issue as I do not have a Windows computer.
Microsoft's web site has the following URL regarding making a CD-ROM
PowerPoint presentation for on a CD-ROM across platforms:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q297/4/67.asp

Look under "The Most Important Tip: Know Your Audience" and you'll see a
section on "Movies don't play when moved across platform". Click on this
link:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q190/3/97.ASP

And you'll find three things:

The Windows computer needs QuickTime
You must move the movie files in the same folder as the presentation
APPARENTLY you must delete, then and relink the movie files from within the
presentation on the Windows machine. This seem to be because of the
difference in the way the platforms display multimedia. This should not be
very time consuming or difficult.

It is important for QTVR photographers (mostly on Macs, myself included) to
be able to serve the Windows world. Would someone who is on Windows please
let us know if this indeed works? If so, we will have a very powerful sales
tool. And, what about object movies?
