They bug me too :)

But I have built it into my autoviewer system anyhow
because of clients who are unfamiliar with panos.

My javascript autopanner is neat though in that it
allows me to have a big honkin' button that says click
here toggle autopanning on/off as well as clicking and
dragging inside the pano.

Only drawback is that it's netscape only :(
