Some of you will have seen earlier versions of this movie and some of you experienced problems.

We now have a workaround for the problems and I've improved way it works / looks.

So, this is a spinner / compass for QTVR panoramas that also zooms:

It uses a flash track for the map / compass and communication from the VR is handled by a method only available in QT5. The whole thing was put together in the Movie Player and wired using VRHotwires.

I went on to try limiting a flash animation to a certain place in the rotation of the panorama. You can see this here: http://www.gaspweb.co.uk/playpen/panzoom3.html

The animation is only visible within a 10 degree spot. When you leave that area it resets itself and becomes invisible.
