Bet you were surprised that they had the 8mm sigma in stock weren't
you? I ordered it to try it out and decided to stick with multi-row
panos using the CP5000. I've automated 99% of the process so the small
amount of extra time at the photo-shoot is well worth the effort.
Anyway, love the new panos.
Check out my pano of the Sheldonian using the CP5000 for comparison:
The photos each link to interactive QTVR 360 degree spherical
panoramas, and are of some the historic sites in the University City
of Oxford (UK).
I have 12 samples on this web page.
To produce the panoramas, I take 6 photos around and 1 up. Portrait on
a Kaidan spherical head (thanks Jim).
They are then processed with DeFish (note to Ken, I cannot get batch
conversion to work with DeFish on OS X) and stitched using Realviz
Stitcher.
I'm working a map for tour of a museum here in Oxford, this will have
30 panoramas using the 10D (already taken on Monday).
