When you try the string and weight thing you'll realize it will take your
attention away from the task at hand. You'll be looking at the ground and
not at what's happening around you.

Shooting level is not a requirement for spherical! You can level and
correct the pitch and roll of the pano later in the PTools workflow. Even
for hand held panos, I only need to set two distant control points for each
seam for a total of eight.
