I think that the power of QTVR as a journalistic tool is great. It is much more powerful than a still image in many ways. The challenges are to get those 4-6 shots off in a short enough amount of time to capture the action and expressions on peoples' faces etc, while still retaining the nodal point and levels. I am going to go purchase a weight (a/la philo) to attach to a string for handhelds. I have photographed a lot of concerts (golemproductions.com/home.html) and there have been many times where I wanted to shoot vr but didn't feel like dealing with the equipment, or just wasn't in the state of mind necessary to keep my camera level (:-} . but, I did OK with that pano I shot at the Shlomo Bar show (posted recently). ...And another challenge is to get the news outlets to recognize and support VR. peace, andy

Since I don't use a oneshot system, I'd say all of my panos are
'fake' - especially those with action. That is ok as far as I am
concerned. After all, I'm not a newspaper shooter.

Your comment made me jump on my chair but i'm sure you agree newspaper
shooters are the worst fakers when it comes to framing reality. It's
the fun
part of vr to keep it alive 3600 wide and compose with a moving world.
And
you perform that dance well.
