Hi Erwan - 

I routinely shoot using a D1x at many different ISOs and the noise is not
there.  The reason you are seeing more noise is because of the 10 second
exposure.  In my experience it's better to bump the ISO higher and use a
shorter exposure time.  Try shooting that same scene at ISO 400 or even
higher with a shorter exposure time and I think you'll be pleased.  I for a
dark scene I usually use ISO 400 or (rarely 640) with about a 2-5 second
exposure.

Another thing you can try is to open your current shots at the highest
resolution.  Then resize smaller.  This will make some of the noise be less
noticeable.
