As I am looking for the highest possible resolution with a digital
camera, I was wondering how you got the 14,000 pixel pano you mentioned
in an earlier post.
Do you shoot at a different focal length for cylinders than for cubics?
From your note I'm guessing you shoot at 20mm.
What stitching software would you recommend for use with the D70?
Again, many thanks for all of these questions.
Cheers,
Stephen

You mention the ability to do high res multirow cubics with the 17-35.
What about the D70 with the 18-70mm. Nikon seems to be pushing that
config. Is there a better lens choice? Thanks.
Hi Stephen
The 12-24 mm Nikkor or Sigma 12-24 will give you a cube in 18 shots.
2 rows of 8 gives you 140 degree with 30% overlapping + 1 top and
bottom
shot. I am working on a multirow panohead to test it.
It gives you a 11.500 pixels wide pano. Cylindric pano with 8 shots
and 84
degree FOV. My first tests with the Sigma 12-24 look very good.
