problem is user will have to be online to see the stuff (not sure if
QuickTime caches dependent files locally)

btw, you'd put the panoramic image or something online? maybe that's worse
since anyone opening the movie with a hex editor would see the URL and get
the image. Could use a MIAM (movie-in-a-movie) instead so that you ship a
movie that serves as the original a movie container to the client and QT
then seeks your movie on the web at some url embedded in the MIAM movie (if
QT does caching of that remote file as separate file though [not sure] in
the browser cache you're at risk and the client can get the remote movie
easy)

I think it's best to use a visible watermark on the panoramic image for
samples shipped to clients

also use invisible watermarks in the panoramic image (you should be able to
find programs like "Steganos" [means Steganography] on the web that hide
such info in docs/images/etc.). Then you notify the client from the
beginning that the movie contains tracking info and warn them not to use it
after a certain period (plus have the legalize stuff in the invoice)
