camera advice please

Hi Guys

I'm wanting to get a camera for VR work but have a very limited budget. I'd like to spend between £200-£300 (GBP).

I know next nothing about photography and want to learn more with this camera.

I've been looking at the Fuji FinePix s5500 I can get it for under £200 and the wide angle lens is only £37.

Is this a good camera or are there better ones in this price range.

All positive and negative comments will be much appreciated.
