Re: digital rebel XT

Check out Dpreview.com, the user feedback. They seem to be saying the color
is more saturated (on board image sensor & processing).

I bought 2 Digital Rebels (300D) for astrophotography, where low-light
sensitivity is an issue. Bigger pixels with the 300D sensor (same area as
the 20D, which means bigger pixels..which means more light-gathering ability)
I thought meant better astrophotographic performace. However, a friend who
just got a 20D said no..Canon made adjustments for the 20D (better *overall*
sensitivity: sensor, amplifiers, etc) so that it meets or exceeds the 300D.

I read about "banding problems" with the 20D, which the 350D doesn't have. I
think I'm about to spring for a 350D myself. Best Buy has the 350D on sale
(ends today I think) for $949 ($50 off), which comes with 12-month 0%
interest if you use Best Buy Card. It's the silver body I think, but who
cares.

Yeah, the smaller size is definitely a plus..it's beginning to infringe on
the territory of the pro-sumer P&Ss (big lenses, zooms), which are above the
consumer P&Ss.
