WIN QT aggressive popup-solved

I have been doing some tests on my Virtual PC Windows XP Home the last days and I get some very aggressive update popups
from my QT 7.0.2 installation saying there is a new QT 7.0.3 available.

It will not disappear by unbooking the update option.
It still pops up at every pano.
Is this "normal" PC behaviour or is it something which has to do with my VP shared connection that does not recognize my option.

I discovered that I still had the installation download on my desktop so I used the QT Uninstall and removed Quicktime.
Reinstalled it and tried again. Same problem.
Tried directly from QT preferences and it did not save my changes.
Obviously a Windows problem NOT a Quicktime.

To check it I copied the installer to my new G5 and installed it on a brand new PC.
Everything works as it should. Un booked the "Check for updates" and it saved it.

So NO QT problem. Just one of these Windows registry problems which would make me crazy if I was a normal Windows user.
I am happy that my PC is just a 1.6 GB file I can trough in my Trash and than just open a new one from my archive.
