I made a 15 node movie for my local Elementary school (thats what
you get for being on the PTA).
CubicConnector final move size is 3.8meg.
Is this an acceptable size for 56K modem and above?
Should I reduce the image quality to get the size down?
or should I run this movie thru QTpro to reduce the overal size?
Images are 3000 pix / 768 cube face / photo jpeg low / = 225k + -
per node.
The individual nodes of the tour are a good size, but putting them
all together in a single, multinode QTVR is what is making the
initial download so big (3.8 megs *is* big if any of your viewers
have a modem - not so bad for broadband). Perhaps you can split them
up into an HTML-linked tour.
CubicConnector can do this by simply choosing "Export Single Nodes"
and then choosing "Movies with HTML + Image Map." The map would need
to be edited/ composited (and frankly the CC HTML is a little
lackluster), but then all anyone would need to load at a given time
would be the 225k node - not the whole tour. I guess if you are
comfortable with some HTML (to clean up and "customize" the basic
HTML template) this would be the way to go.

BTW, your "gymnasium" marker on the map doesn't have a link on it.
