I took my VR kit to this year's Fairport Convention festival. (Yes,
they're still going!) I've worked there as crew for around thirteen
years now, but this year, with the help of a VR example CD I made
before I went, I managed to sort out some time and access to do a
little VR shooting...
20 meters up in a 'cherry picker' crane before the crowds came into
the arena on the final morning, in the photographer's space by the
stage for the encore, and finally in the organiser's marquee tent
after it had all finished, at 2am or something like that.
I have others from the crane and the performance which I still need
to stitch, but these are what I've had time to do so far. The full
selection of performance panoramas will be online on the official
festival site in a few weeks.
