Re: TotallyHip totally gone? new installation

Yes.. that's right. log onto Stagedoor and download the 4.4.6 update. But I'm not sure if the update contains all the associated files and Qscript reference. In that case, what you could do is install the pace protected 4.5 install. After installing the 4.5 LSP application, the installer will ask if you want to install the InterLock Privacy application. DO NOT install InterLock. But don't quite the installer either. Move the files in the 4.5 LSP folder to a separate partition or into a disk image. If you don't do that, the installer will erase the files is already wrote to disk when you quit.

After quitting the 4.5 installer, move the 4.5 folder from your temporary location back into you main hard drive. Then install the 4.6.6 updater files into the 4.5 folder. Now you should have the most recent LSP, as well as all the program's associated reference files & behaviors.

Another option, if you were about to re-install your system, would be to make a disk image of you current system using Disk Utilities or Carbon Copy. You would then be able to restore that Disk Image to a separate partition or external drive and boot into it any time you need to run LSP. I did this before realizing 4.6.6 was a pace free update - Lots of wasted time :(

Hello,

Totallyhip did release a non-pace, 4.6.6 version some time ago (around June), which WAS available on stagedoor.totallyhip.com portal:

No - You will not be able to re-install the software - the Activation server appears to be out. I tried to re-install my software a few weeks ago.

But there are options available. One is a bit involved and I'm heading out now. Will post more info in a few hours on my rerun (so don't despair if you absolutely need to get LSP up and running to finish a project :)

I invested in the company... I bought the program and took the time to learn it.
I never thought about the company name,
but I don't want to buy/learn another program to do the job. (iShell by ?? another funny name i guess)

My concern is: does anyone know if I can install LSP 4.6 with it's copy protect on line registration verification on a new machine or is that system now dead?????
Thanks,
Curt
