Arcsoft Panorama maker ( http://www.arcsoft.com/products/panoramamaker/ )
does a pretty good job of stitching and creating cylindrical pans. Much
of their software is PC, but Panorama Maker is available in both
'flavors'. It also does a good job of tiling multiple images together.
There is a free, trial version.
