Arcsoft Panorama maker ( http://www.arcsoft.com/products/ panoramamaker/ )
does a pretty good job of stitching and creating cylindrical pans. Much
of their software is PC, but Panorama Maker is available in both
'flavors'. It also does a good job of tiling multiple images together.
There is a free, trial version.

I've used Panorama Maker for a while now and it does a very good job of stitching. I recently discovered DoubleTake <http://echoone.com/ doubletake/> (Mac only) and it is better than Panorama Maker. I like both for flat panos, but DT does a better job. The blending in both is impressive.
