I know the iPhone doesn't support playing QTVR directly via
QuickTime - but does anyone know - or has anyone seen any demos -
of it playing QTVR through the phone's Safari browser?
As far as I know there's no difference between what the iPhone will
show in a Safari page to what you can watch 'normally' - so it's
still limited to linear video.
How about SPi-V - can the phone's browser implementation use
shockwave?
No Flash, no Java, no Shockwave, just a version of QT limited to videos.
Finally, if the iPhone is NOT capable of doing any of these things
can anyone suggest good solutions for handheld demonstrations of
interactive panoramas?
Tapwave Zodiacs seemed to be the 'in' thing for portable pano
viewers, although it's not been available new for quite some time.
There's also PTViewerME for recent Java-enabled phones and an
Immervision viewer. Hopefully otheres will have more details on the
last two.
